Limes Farm is really pleased to be working with some of our local primary schools in order to provide a daily hot meal service. Our mission is to provide young people at each school with the healthiest and tastiest lunchtime meal possible.

We have three menus (A, B and C) and these rotate each term. We also change the menus every term so that your children get good variety and a chance to taste different things.

All of our meals are produced to exceed the standards set by the School Food Trust. We do this simply by using the best ingredients. These are made up from homegrown vegetables, farm reared or locally sourced meat and eggs from our chickens. The ingredients that we can't grow or create ourselves we source from our local food heroes. For instance when we make pizza dough we use flour from Wessex Mill in Oxfordshire.

All of our meals are cooked from scratch, we never use packet mixes or take shortcuts. Our head taster, Will who is two and a half years old and very willing to give us his opinion, has approved every meal! No meal ever goes to the school that we would not happily eat ourselves and we often do.

We have also introduced our "Clean Plate Award". This takes the form of a handy booklet that your children will get stamped when they eat their meal. This will help you know whether your child has eaten and encourage them to collect the stamps.

If you are a parent of a child at one of the schools where we provide our hot meal service and would like your child to have a school meal, please speak to the School Office for details on how to place your order.

Limes Farm is a member of FACE

Farming & Countryside Education (FACE) are a registered charity and rely on your support to carry out their work to inspire children to learn more about food, farming and the countryside. Their aim is to educate children and young people about food and farming in a sustainable countryside.

FACE aims to meet these educational needs by working with our members and partners to promote visits to farms, and to provide easy access to a wide range of high-quality educational resources and activities to complement both school-based studies and outdoor visits.

If you have any questions, suggestions for possible meals or comments on how we can improve our service then please contact us.
